It’s been a hard day’s night

And I’ve been working like a dog…

Hello World!

Yesterday was extremely busy, but we made decisive progress for our project. We defined all the PSSC (Project Specific Success Criteria) of our project, with a due date and a member in charge of the completion of the task. We also prepared the slides for this morning and rehearsed the presentation. You can check out the slides here: Drops N’ Roses – Soutenance planification. By the way, we made an extensive use of The Noun Project, an amazing collection of tons of vector graphics (under Creative Commons license).

Personally, I designed some logos for our project and a vote has been launched on the ROSE mailing list in order to pick the best one. I hope that our final logo will be disclosed in a few days.

Today, we had the presentations. The teachers approved our schedule, so we have to start working now! Before that, I carry on the STM32 lab. Now I have blinking leds, and next step will be to choose their intensity using PWM. It will require some documentation about ChibiOS!

May the force be with you!

PLUME – Summary of this weekend

Well this is a relatively tiring weekend ending. Indeed, as you probably know, we have a presentation of our project to for Tomorrow. So we all met this weekend to move forward on our project.

After a few hours of work, researches, reflection and correction we finally finished. We also completed the distribution of project tasks. We are waiting for feedback from our supervisors to provide you with more ample information on what each of us will do.

For my part, I am currently re-reading the documentation and guides provided by ChibiOS to prepare me for any little surprises that may occur .. However, I still have a lot of courses to read, especially on the BLE to catch up in this area.

Dear readers, I wish you a good evening.

PLUME & ARM “Silver” member

I might repeat what the other previously said, but the time has finally come ! We have revealed the name we kept secret for such a long time! PLUME stands for Positioning and Localization Using Magnetic Emitters.

During a long meeting with the rest of the team we started to plan the roadmap of this project. We also talked about some technical points of the project and shared some implementations ideas. Last but not least, we spent some time finding a name for our project getting ready to disclose the secret name of our project.

Apart from this, I have studied the various debugging methods for ARM architectures, to prepare the presentation I will make on Friday with Gleison. To have more information on the CMSIS-DAP solution, I needed to register on ARM website, hence I am now an ARM Silver member! (That just means that I have access to the documentation, but still, that is quite a fancy name ;-)) Anyway, thanks to this I have been able to discover this debugging technology, I will dive deeper into the documentation tomorrow to give you a great overview of it and of how to use it on Friday.

More information next time !
